GUIDELINES FOR BSN OLFU ANTIPOLO STUDENTS FOR THE START OF THE SEMESTER
With the start of the first semester of academic year 2010-2011, please take note of the following guidelines to be followed by all BSN students of all year levels:
1. UNIFORM
a. Please be guided by the memo on proper school uniform which was issued last semester. You were already given ample time to comply.
b. These rules shall be implemented the entire time that you are within the campus.
c. All violators will NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY INTO THE CLASSROOM starting FIRST DAY of classes. Those who will be sent out shall be marked absent, and which will already be counted against their grades.
2. COLOR CODING
a. Please be guided by the color-coding scheme which will be implemented starting this semester. All postings, index cards, and log-books shall follow the designated colors:
TFN, NCM 100A, HA WHITE
NCM 101 POWDER BLUE
NCM 101A YELLOW
NCM 102 FUSHIA (DARK) PINK
NCM 102A BABY (LIGHT) PINK
NCM 103 PERIWINKLE (VIOLET)
NCM 103A GREEN
NCM 104 ORANGE

3. REQUIREMENTS TO BE BROUGHT DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES:
a. INDEX CARD – ΒΌ index card with the appropriate color assigned per NCM. One index card will be asked per subject, and per area of rotation so have at least 20 pieces ready per student.
b. ID PICTURE – Each professor and clinical instructor shall be asking for your ID picture. Have one ready following these guidelines:
i. Wear proper school uniform. Observe proper grooming.
ii. White background.
iii. With name tagged at the bottom part of the picture.
iv. May we suggest that you have it photocopied (colored, replicating the ID picture into several copies of both 1x1 and 2x2).
c. LOG BOOK – Each NCM’s notebook shall be a log-book with the corresponding number of pages. One log-book only per NCM. Have it wrapped with the appropriate NCM color, and then with plastic cover. Divide the log-book into your nursing major subjects.
i. 100 pages – TFN, NCM 100A, HA
ii. 300 pages – NCM 101A(MCN FH CHN), NCM 102A (PEDIA OB)
iii. 500 PAGES:
1. NCM 101 – HD, HB, CM, CCM1, MICRO-PARA, NRES
2. NCM 102 – MS1, OR, OB, CCM2
3. NCM 104 - MS2, PEDIA, PSYCHE, CDN
4. NCM 103A – MS, OR, NURSING INFORMATICS

d. NAME PLATE – Have your name printed in black ink, white background, using Arial Black font size 80, all caps, last name, first name, middle initial. Then cut it into a name plate, have it laminated, and use a safety pin or clip to put it on. Wear it whenever you are inside the classroom for easier identification by your professors.

e. TRICOLOR PEN – To be used for both lecture and RLE.
4. POSTINGS – Groupings, schedules, and announcements shall be posted at the bulletin boards of the College of Nursing located at the ground floor and 4th floor of VMS building. Do check for any updates upon arriving in school and before you leave by the end of the day.
Another challenging year lies ahead. Changes shall be implemented in order to better nursing education in this institution. Let us continue to strive harder in achieving academic excellence!
